I am P. Babu Rao Patro and I reside in Bhubaneswar with my family. I am the second-generation leader of a 35-year-old family-owned rice business, which was founded by my father Late Shri P. Syama Murty Patro, a visionary and pioneer of the modern day rice industry. I plied my trade under the moniker of Utkal Traders and scaled new heights, gaining the reputation and trust of many clients. We were the major suppliers of rice to many wholesalers, institutions and traders.

I had always believed that when one sets out to scale a mountain, they should reach the very pinnacle; and thus I have established my own rice brand.

We have setup a rice processing unit that produces premium quality rice, which we supply to all segments of the society under the brand name of Kasper. The unit is located at Chandaka Industrial Estate, Bhubaneswar. My future plans for business is to expand the presence of Kasper all across Odisha. Currently Kasper has a distribution coverage that spans across Cuttack, Puri, Bhadrak, Jajpur Road and Dhenkanal. My philosophy for life has always been, “Dream big to achieve big,” and dreams do come true.
